Few days back I was talking to my girlfriend about where to go together. I insisted on hill station as first place but she said no to hill station. And when I asked why, she said hill station is no fun. I thought for a while and started giving her points, on how one can enjoy hill stations. You might get the same issue with your girl, so here are few tips that might help you. (mine was convinced :D)

Don't pre book your hotels

Don't ever expect fun, if your hotels are already been booked. Book them straightly from the reception table when you're standing at one. And same applies to food too. You might think of having good and costly dinner at your desired destination but don't rely only over that. Having it once or twice is okay, but try finding out local food to know their taste and culture.

Always buy miniatures

By miniatures I don't mean the miniatures of your booze. I mean the miniature statues that are generally sold by vendors. Don't bother about carrying them, they are meant to be easily carried and hence are small in size. Don't buy branded apparels for gifting others but simply buy something relating the memories of that place.

Travel cheap

Try travelling in cheap and crowded public transit. You can hire a taxi once in a while but only when you are exhausted. But the fact is you never get exhausted at a hill station if you are really enjoying the place.  And walking is the best one. Walk the small distances as it would be spectacular.

Carry light

Don't try to put your whole closet into the suitcase. You are not going for a business meeting for sure. You don't have to look good. Just take one or two jackets at most. Actually you know better how much clothes you actually need. Try carrying backpacks as they keep your hands free instead of pulling a trolley.

Hill station is a place that should be visited without parents

We generally visit the places with mountains with our family in childhood or teenage. And by the time we are grown, we start thinking that it's a couple place to enjoy. But the fact is these are places for everyone, obviously excluding the old and sick. Go there with friends and you will get a whole new package of excitement and fun.

Stop taking pictures of yourself in that orthodox way

People would visit hill stations and take as many pictures as they can. Come on, don't try to put your beauty with background of mountains and valleys. Let that beauty be separately captured and so be yours.

Don't carry your battery sucking phones

Smartphones in today's world are very helpful with internet but these phones suck batteries like hell. If you are carrying one, try not bothering about charging them again and again. Instead of taking help from it, put it on a power saving mode and use manual methods of help. Don't look into Google Maps, instead ask the local people for everything.

P.S. I hope this much would help you out for convincing your girl. If this doesn't help, leave her home and you know what to do next.

This Sunday I couldn't make it to any place but next week, there is going to be my ALL TIME FAVOURITE, McLeodganj. See you next Sunday.
