India Gate; the best hangout spot

India Gate, a name given to the monument that stands memorial for the uncountable soldiers died during the period of 1914-1921. Even though it is a war memorial, it evokes the great architecture of triumphal arch. No doubt, India Gate is related to patriotism and a serious issue like war. But with the time, the patriotism of people has mixed up with fun and the mixture is quite a good change. At present, India Gate is the most known place for family picnics and for normal hangouts.

All around, you will see well maintained roads and wide open grounds that make this place so calm even when it is crowded. People here come for a brief relief that really soothes their souls and for kids this is like a fair, a small one though. Some come here with patriotic feelings, some to have moments of relief and some just go there to walk around and observe. I went with the last attitude and I really observed much there.

Talking of fun, it multiplies with number of peers going with you. You would not get much to eat there. Only some stalls are there providing local street food but there is an army of ice cream carts. But one can surely take his own food there and enjoy.

If you are in a group, take a guitar player with you and start singing. If you like to click pictures, carry your camera there and you will get a lot to capture. Only the main structure of India Gate has got much on it, eager to be in your pictures. If you like to write, take your notepad with you, or whatever you write on, and start jotting down words, compose some poems for that place or anything that comes to your mind.

Picnic and hangout isn't the only attraction of India Gate, there is a next level of hangout which is getting popular these days. It is basically the inclusion of India Gate in night out plans. People having cars or bikes often come here at late night and does what they seek adventurous. Some scream loudly, some just sit.

All in all, India Gate has become hangout spot for all ages in different ways. Also this place has no time limits to visit. Just go there any time, you will get to enjoy for sure.
